My Bio
"Think that Country has been in my blood since a youngun', years ago I used to sit in the studio with Bob Fricker and his Mountain Music program on 5AD in Adelaide, I attended many Smoky Dawson and Tex Morton tent shows.
Radio and Communications have been almost my entire life, the Army put me into the School of Signals and from then on I have had some connection to radio during my life with the exception of eleven years when I took a break and studied and became registered in Psychiatric nursing and Psychopaedics.
I qualified in Amateur radio and television and was placed on the Roll of Honour after 18 years of struggling to reach the required criteria.
During my amateur radio experiences I came to meet Tex Morton personally many times as he also was much involved with amateur radio.
In 1995 I joined the staff of 4OUR in Caboolture and remained there for eight years, presenting many country programs along with just about every other program that was available, including Breakfast programs, Morning magazines, and also presented many News broadcasts.
Having moved location to the South Burnett, I became involved with 4WHO 99.7fm in Yarraman and now present my program "Keeping it Country with Ralph" on Sundays from 12noon to 3pm. My programs consist of quite a lot of independent country, but I do play a bit of everything.
Married to Trudy and raised five children, they in turn have given us eight grand-children".
