I started radio around 10 years ago doing a 2hour country show, and it went to 3 and to 4 hours by popular demand. I do a lot of interviews, people just passing through Millicent drop in and “have a chat”.
Country Music is very popular here in Millicent, and the other towns around us. Some of the listeners bring cds that they want to share the music of with the other listeners.
“I have just got to play it on my show” The show is called Red Hot Country, it runs from 7am to 11am.
I’m a part of the Millicent Country Music Association. I was the president for 3 years, stepping a side this year so some one else can have a shot at it ....We have band playing every second month and we have a thing called CD Day with a live D.J. Me. It helps to pay for the bands. Good money raiser.
I have my own disco, doing Rock N Roll and Country Music. We have all country music on the CD days and I still use records having around 400, a lot of old country music, lots of Australian and at the end of each month I play all Australian country for the 4 hours ....
Always looking for new country music, I run my show from around 3000 cds.
