My Bio

What can I say, I'm a Pom, have been with Radio Fremantle for over 16 years as a Volunteer Country Music Presenter. Also around 5 years as a Friday Collage Presenter, also a voluntary position.
I joined 90.5 Sport FM soon after it's inception as a Volunteer County Music Presenter.
I come from a background of RAF Photography, Metropolitan Police in London and WA Police.
In the past I have presented general shows and original Rock & Roll shows on a few service stations part time. I have been on Executive of various Country Music Clubs, and of Radio Fremantle.
I am, like lots of other Community Station Announcers, retired, and keep busy between Presenting and my main hobby of photography, plus doing a bit of genealogy, when I can find time.
I’m always on look out for new material to play on air. Mainly obviously Country Music, but some others for use on Friday Collage.
I do not play:- RAP or Gospel, or anything that sounds like the orchestra tuning up in Theatre.
As both Stations are Community Stations, I cannot play songs with dirty words, and I won't play any drug promoting songs. Anything else of suitable quality for broadcast I welcome.

Details about my programs
I do "Down Under Country" Monday evening, on 107.9FM Radio Fremantle, www.radiofremantle.com from11pm until 1 am West Australian time. The programme is live to air and the Internet at the same time, and has a lot of overseas listeners.
The programme is also available for 7 days in the Archives at Radio Fremantle website above.
"Down Under Country", it is in it's 17th Year, It is an ALL Australasian Country Music Programme, basically nearly all Indies, most forms of country are played from old to the latest almost pop styles, except Gospel.

Friday mornings I do a chat program called "Friday Collage", from8.30am till 11 am WA Time, also on Radio Fremantle as above. Here I do live chats with a range of local and interstate people of interest, including two local Mayors, community groups and musicians. Interspersed with mainly Country Music, and music from the guests.

Friday evenings I do "Q6 Country" from 10pm till 1 am WA Time, a world wide Country Programme, again mainly Indies, it is aired on 90.5 FM, and simulcast from our Internet transmissions, via Paltalk around the world, and in New Zealand on 84.4 FM on South Island [Oaharu]. This simulcasting is done by Tom Cunningham in British Columbia, Canada, free, as a service to country music, and has a large audience around the world.
