"Service Driven Fresh Professional Voice”
After a number of years self-employed in the Queensland Tourism Industry, in which he was the winner of two Business Achievers Awards for Tourism and Hospitality Services, Daryl followed his passion for radio and graduated with Honours from the AIR-TV School of Radio and Media in Brisbane in 1999. During this time, Daryl was the proud recipient of the AIR-TV/Radio 4KZ Award for Best Oral Presentation incorporating commercial voiceovers, newsreading and announcing. Daryl commenced his radio career as Morning Announcer at Radio 4VL in Charleville and moved to the dual Breakfast Announcer’s position on 4VL, Charleville and 4DB in Dalby. In addition to this position, Daryl was appointed as the Program Director, Music Director and Commercial Copywriter for the “Hot Country Network”, 4VL and 4 Triple C in Charleville and 4DB in Dalby. Daryl then moved to Radio 4RR-FM in Charleville to take up the position of Station Manager, Program Director and Breakfast Announcer. On returning to Brisbane, Daryl is now Manager of his own business producing full time voiceovers for radio, television and corporate presentations from his own studio in Brisbane. Daryl is proud to have provided commercial voiceovers for a number of businesses including Qantaslink, Bi-Lo, Crazy Clarks, Cartridge World, Australia Post, Red Rooster, Elders, Mensland, Beaurepaires, Tyrepower, Muffin Break, AutoPro, Supercheap Auto, BKN 7 (Broken Hill), TAFE, NSW RTA, the Mildura Country Music Festival, Mitre 10, Home Hardware and Retravision to name a few. Daryl is also the host of “Urban Country” on Radio 101.5FM and is highly sought as an MC for various functions throughout South-East Queensland including Champion of Champions, the Urban Country Music Festival in Caboolture, the Pioneer Village Country Music Club concerts and various corporate events. Daryl is also the host of “Australian Showcase”, a 2 hour weekly radio program promoting the Australian country music industry streaming worldwide via CMR Nashville. |
