My Bio

I was born in Wellington New Zealand 1940. On leaving school, I went working on farms and being in the country came upon Country Music.

From then on I always had a love of CM. In the 60’s I moved into town and was without the good country music for a while but never lost the love for it. Had various interesting jobs. I’m not a musso or singer/songwriter but really enjoy club days.

A few years ago I had the good fortune to meet up with a country singer/songwriter whilst looking for and asking for information about the Napier CM Club.

I loved her singing and also learned that she was the editor for the three TLC Radio stations, running her own station in Stratford over New Plymouth way in the North Island. We were invited to the CD Launch of her second album and got to listen to the TLC station.

Through meeting Robert Dew who started the first TLC, I was asked if I would be interested in having a station in Napier, Hawkes Bay, on the East Coast in the middle of the NTH Island. I jumped at the chance and have had the station running for two years. I am getting a good following, as there is no mainstream radio that has any airplay of note, for Country Music.

We are all doing this voluntarily and all are non-commercial, 24/7 stations. I love every minute of it and have made a lot of friends and met many NZ and overseas artists. TLC has now got six stations, all independently owned and supplied with the music edited by Ann Pascoe, who, by the ways is about to launch her fifth album. (2007)

I thank all the people that send their music to TLC, keep ‘em coming folks. I also thank Robert Dew and the ‘Team’ for getting me involved in a wonderful hobby, it gives me great pleasure to pass on the music I love to my many listeners.
