Nev Molloy - Bio

Nev Molloy’s musical journey started many years ago as a kid listening to Slim Dusty and Slim’s then lead guitarist Barry Thornton.

One of the first playable guitars Nev owed he bought after working for local fruit hawker selling fruit door to door in the Forbes area. Nev actually owned three guitars before he could even tune one up; but he stuck with it and by sixteen was playing lead in a Rock ‘N’ Roll band with his brother Bill, owing to lack of interest in country music in the Forbes at the time.

Nev has been involved in the country music industry all his life and over the years has toured with or played with most of Australia’s Greats.

Nev has been based in the Broken Hill district for the past twenty odd years and has run his own Recording Studio “N.C.M Recordings” for the past 15 years producing many award winning CDs. “About fourteen wins and or placing’s” in Country Music or Bush Ballad events.

Nev has recently moved back to his home town of Forbes and set up his recording studio there. He will be touring also when time allows.
