Ian "Bidge" Boyd – Bio
Ian “Bidge” Boyd was in a pop/rock group in the 70’s, then a series of duos and trios since.
His early influences in music were the Everly Bros, Creedence and the Eagles, which explains his interest in harmonies.
After a few breaks from music he began showing an interest in country music in the late 1990’s.
He has played at the Bay of Islands festival in New Zealand, toured Tasmania and New Zealand and played at Tamworth, Mildura, Gympie, Boyup Brook and many other festivals and venues with Laura Downing.
He has been a guest artist for several country music groups and toured with TRUCK’N with TIM around Sth Western Victoria.
He has also performed in 2 Slim Dusty tribute concerts.
Currently he does solo work and also plays in a duo called Top-Secret with his wife Barb.
Bidge has attended many festivals in Vic, SA, NSW, Qld, WA, New Zealand and Norfolk Island.
His debut CD “Every Second, Every Minute” was given a favourable review in the Aug. 2006 edition of Capital News magazine and the new CD also got a good review in March 2009.
