Eliza Parker

Country Music continually opens the doors of opportunity to new artists.
A young girl to look out for is Eliza Parker from South Australia.

Eliza is capable of singing songs well in advance of her years, including the songs of Slim Dusty and Becky Cole.

What makes Eliza so special? … For her young age, Eliza has a tremendous ability to remember lyrics, she’s a natural who does not spend too much time on rehearsals, and her voice is pitch perfect

Eliza Parker Bio

Eliza started singing in June 2007after going to the Barmera country music festival, where she started her love for traditional bush ballad music.

In September she sang at the Apex Caravan Park during the Mildura Country Music Festival with fellow Australian Bush Balladeer members.

Some of her favorite—singers are Slim Dusty, Tex Morton, Buddy Williams, Ann Kirkpatrick, Matt Manning, Becky Cole, Des Morgan, ect.

Eliza is a member of the Southern Country Music Club, the Gawler Country Music Club and the Australian Bush Balladeers Association.

Eliza also likes attending talent quests. 2008 was her first year of attending talent quests and she won three trophies including first place at Port Pirie in the 10 years and under section, Second place in the 12 years and under section at the Barmera Country Music Festival and a trophy at the Mildura Festival.

Eliza was also invited to sing at the 2008 Champion of Champions Show put on by the South Australian Council of Country Music.

Her Talent quests in 2009 include Port Augusta were she got second place in the 11 years and under section. Upcoming festivals include Barmera, and Mildura, plus Tamworth in January 2010.

Eliza's first cd called "Uniquely Australian" has a mix of some of her favourite - ballads. Plus a Becky Cole song "Blackwood Hill", and the beautiful "Amazing Grace". It also has one of her own songs called "Spanish Guitar". It is a story about the great Tex Morton the father of Australian country music. Plus a song written by her music teacher called "Country Girl".

My cd has been recorded by Terry Pickles at his Salisbury Silkwood Studio.

"I hope when I am older to make country music my full time career. And I would love to sing traditional bush ballad music to keep this style of music alive".
